The most pressing concerns of the industrial construction industry: Experts at the CEO Forum discussed the development prospects for the business in the near future, important industry trends, work safety, etc.
NS BlueScope Vietnam and media sponsor Saigon Economic Times recently organized a CEO Forum on the newest industrial construction trends in 2023. Dr. Dang Viet Dung, President of the Vietnam Construction Association, and renowned specialists in the fields of construction technology, architecture, green construction, and occupational safety, as well as numerous representatives of contractors and construction business owners, attended the forum.
The Forum, which took place in the midst of a mostly quiet estate market, provided delegates with a wealth of important information. That is information about the problems and prospects of the Vietnamese construction market in 2023, in which industrial construction emerges as a potentially profitable sector with a positive growth rate and new industrial construction technologies.
The forum also helps enterprises and contractors in the loop on the latest fire prevention and fighting standards for the industrial construction industry, as well as new trends in architectural design, zero greenhouse gas emissions, and understanding how to ensure construction safety from NS BlueScope Vietnam’s practical experience. At the end of the agenda, corporations will have the opportunity to visit the NS BlueScope Vietnam production to see the practical application of a leading color-coated steel sheet manufacturer’s occupational safety and sustainable construction model.
According to Mr. Vo Minh Nhut, General Director of NS BlueScope Vietnam, while the construction market in countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia is showing good growth, enterprises in Vietnam may still keep hopeful confidence.
At the Forum, Dr. Dang Viet Dung, President of the Vietnam Construction Association, also mentioned several factors that are helping the business “solve problems.” In terms of policy, these are Decree No. 08/2023/ND-CP on enterprise bonds, Resolution No. 33/NQ-CP on some solutions to remove difficulties and promote the real estate market, and Decree No. 10/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of decrees guiding the implementation of the Law on Land 2023, Document No. 2308/NHNN-TD on implementing a credit program worth VND 120,000 billion for investors and homebuyers in social housing projects;
Mr. Dung, in particular, finds significant potential in the industrial zone real estate market. According to statistics, demand for industrial zone real estate rental continues to be high, with 7.6% of FDI capital coming from the manufacturing industry and 12% from real estate. Rental costs for industrial real estate, as well as the supply of warehouse real estate and ready-built factories, have continued to rise sharply.
The General Statistics Office’s survey results on the confidence of manufacturing and construction firms are also in line with what Mr. Dung stated. The majority of businesses surveyed expect the market to stabilize and improve in the second quarter of 2023.
When it comes to industrial real estate, it is impossible to overlook pre-engineered steel buildings, which offer benefits such as reduced construction time, energy savings, low construction and maintenance costs, architectural flexibility with large space spans, and ease of digitizing the manufacturing process. As a result, this is the model that most investors prefer.
As a pioneer in green architecture, Mr. Do Huu Nhat Quang, Business Development Manager of GreenViet Green Building Consulting Company, stated that the company has promptly applied energy balance to the office by installing solar panels on the roof.
Also at the Forum, NS BlueScope Vietnam shared the trend of iconic architectural works.
“We discover that the majority of our clients have two primary needs.” The first is to guarantee functionality, and the second is to guarantee aesthetics. Vietnam’s industrial architecture is still standard and focuses solely on functionality. “Focusing on aesthetics will be the next industry trend,” according to NS BlueScope Vietnam’s Ho Thinh.
NS BlueScope Vietnam has exceptional capabilities on the market to ensure the building’s aesthetics. It is the hue that fulfills the architect’s design requirements, the diverse waveforms that effectively depict the design purpose, and finally the engineering and production capabilities that have been collected over the past 100 years from many projects of all proportions all over the world.
The CEO Forum is part of NS BlueScope Vietnam’s annual series of activities for the business community to contribute to the sharing of industry knowledge and new trends, as well as bringing added value to the business community, thereby supporting the industry’s long-term development.
